The Washburn Valley
The river Washburn flows through a steep sided valley between Harrogate and Skipton for much of its short route to the Wharfe. Because of this 4 reservoirs have been constructed and the valley has a mixture of natural habitat, farming and planted forests.
This has created a fascinating area to photograph which is virtually on my doorstep. It is a much more intmate landscape than the wide vistas of the dales and it is also less known and photographed
Virtually all of photos have been taken between late Autumn to late Spring, and it is especially rewarding in mist and frost
